British Ecolve Electirc Motorcycle 125 Mile Range – Prototype Smototype
Ecolve, a British-based electric scooter company, recently unveiled a prototype electric motorcycle with some jaw dropping stats. The “Bolt” will be powered by a 15kw water cooled AC motor and run on a 90 volt 60ah Lithium battery pack. Ecolve website calling for an approximent range on 125 miles and top speed of 150mpg. Whoa! Call me a septic but 125 mile range sound a bit to good to be true. I have no problem with pushing technology forward through innovation, but true innovation and “Marketing Claims” are two totally different beasts. I’m hopeful these Brits are up to something that might change the game, but I’ll wait to see the rubber hit road on this one. With a release date of may 2010, guess will know sooner than later.

90V 60Ah is 5.4kw…………thats 43.2wh/mile…..
Not to mention the 15kw motor (~20hp)….. is NOT going to get you to 150mph….. thats for damn sure.
Yeah, bull honkey…..

The Mission One has a range of 150. I see what you mean by the battery pack, though.
